Samtastic! Review: Yeasayer Ambling Alp
YES yes yes, new sound by Yeasayer, and SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Called Ambling Alp, Kanye has the full video, which I can't find... Check it out! I just spilled wine all over EVERYTHING, because I was so excited. Screw MGMT, Yeasayer, and Ira, Anand, and Chris are much more original than that other band from Brooklyn...Soooooo good.

Samtastic! Review: GMA lets Chris Brown in and Boycotts Adam Lambert
Samtastic! Review thinks this is an atrocity:
http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/anger_as_gma_books_brown_qFoNsafTQflR13ruMKBVeM
Not only are they letting him talk, but thay are THEN going to let him perform new songs, that is the part I don't GET.
Chris Brown was one of our rising stars, but after beating a woman, we tore his star off our wall, deleted his songs from our iPod and vowed to never buy anything he was involved with again.
Why Good Morning America? for ratings? This is bullshit, this show is crap, and Chris Brown should suffer some kind of consequences for his behavior...right? Isn't your main viewer base probably women?
You know, Adam Lambert might be...over the top, to say the least, but a kiss and face crotch shove are nothing compared to trying to kill someone by beating them in the head...Is this another OJ scenario? Doesn't this send the completely WRONG MESSAGE to America?

Samtastic! Review: Lady GaGa on Ellen, Bad Romance & Speechless
Ok, so as I have said many times, haters go on and hate...But Lady Gaga's 8 new songs released on 11/23 (?) that she has been promoting the hell out of, are brilliant pop music, pop music at it's finest. She kills Madonna every time she opens her mouth because Madonna was never, ever, even close to this good even 25 years ago or however long that old hag has been ruining our eardrums. Lady GaGa can sing. She will be in Miami on NYE and I am half tempted to be crazy enough to go...to be continued...Watch below for her 2 performances on Ellen this week. Totally amazing. Speechless is my new favorite song of hers. If you didn't also see her AMA's performance of it you are missing out, YOUTUBE that shit!

Samtastic! Review: J. Tillman
I am pretty pissed at myself right now for skipping this show tonight... Medieval Times pretty much wore me out, yes I really went, and yes I really had fun.
Anyway, so I skipped going to see this guy J. Tillman at The Earl, apparently he is in Fleet Foxes which I love, and I think I would have LOVED seeing him solo as well. Really beautiful music and voice, the bird video I posted below is absolutely wonderful.
Kicking myself hard right, NOW!

Samtastic! Review: Judi Chicago
Got to see this band last night, and I was surprised----> 1. Because Judi Chicago is not a woman, at least I don't think any of the guys were really a woman in drag and 2. They played instruments and pop rockish sing and dance along songs that were good and unique, when I was expecting something else. You see, I have been hearing about this band around ATL for awhile, but never actually saw them, or even researched them...So now I have done a little looking and I like what I see, I am sad I was cameraless, but check them out:

Samtastic! Review: JAMIE LIDELL new video!
Such a great perfect pop song, this is Jamie performing "Another Day" apparently on a fake donkey...Is this just Jamie being silly, or is he working on doing another album, or maybe going on tour again?...He missed ATL last time, and the things I would do to get him to come play here again are pretty crazy. On that note, I need to go find out what I can find out...

Samtastic! Review: Guilty Pleasure Lady GaGa is at it again
I think this is interesting, the clothes are really amazing. I wonder who is designing her shit, is it her? or someone else...I think in parts of this she looks like Annie Lenox in the face. The song is catchy too. Go ahead and hate, haters...

Samtastic! Review: Wolfmother LIVE and Cosmic Egg
So, last night I finally got to see Wolfmother play live. The show was at Tabernacle, here in ATL, which I normally boycott...but I figured Wolfmother would be worth the hassle of the Tabernacle. I actually lucked out, for some unknown reason the tickets to this show didn't sell well (which shocks me, ATL is so weird). This forced the show to be in the basement venue instead of upstairs. So, I got to see Wolfmother, IN ALL OF THEIR "ROCK GODS OF THIS CENTURY" GLORY with about, 300 other people instead of like 2,000. I was never good at that guessing game, where you have to guess how many Jelly beans are in the jar, so my numbers might be off, but seriously, it was amazing. We also got to be higher up and away from everyone with a pretty awesome freakin' view, so check out my pics (link below)!
Anyway, Cosmic Egg their new album is totally awesome. They are a completely new band, except for Andrew Stockdale (So says Wikipedia: A new four-piece band featuring Stockdale, a second guitarist Aiden Nemeth and Ian Peres as bassist and keyboardist (in the same mould as Chris Ross) and a drummer, Dave Atkins from the Resin Dogs), but he managed to keep the sound and feel of the 1st album, but added a little more depth and maturity to it. I guess that can happen with time and experience right? These guys play brilliantly together, as if they always have, they have fun on stage, and they just bring the rock. Truly and genuinely, they are the future of Rock n' Roll.
Also, the opening band called the Heartless Bastards was amazing too, more on them to come...
