Samtastic! Review: Jamie Lidell's - JIM
So, I have had a chance to hear the WHOLE new Jamie Lidell album, JIM, and I must say I was a little nervous!
You know how you fall in love with a band or person with their early creative efforts, and then they never live up to that with their second? This made me very nervous before listening to JIM...
Or how you really love something, and want to keep it all to yourself, and then the new creativity is so freaking amazing that it is going to totally take your artist away from you, because the whole world is about to become obsessed?
Well, the whole world is about to become obsessed with JIM, and Jamie Lidell. He is perfect. That sound of his has weaseled it's way into the mainstream (because of Multiply and other people like Amy Winehouse and Sharon Jones). Target even used one of his songs from Multiply...but it's about to be MAJOR.
So, all of you who LOVE Jamie, show him that love on April 29th, when the album drops...and if you don't know about him, check him out, if you like funk, soul, motown, with a contemporary spin, he is the guy for you.
And he has sealed his fate as my true love, at least in my fantasy world, that I tend to live in.

Explosions in the Sky LIVE in ATL
So so so good live.
I was thinking that it might be a boring show, honestly, but they were mind blowing, get it "explosions".

The Coat Hangers, Atlanta
I went to the Earl to see this band after my friend Amanda played their album for me, and I was thoroughly impressed by them. They are great live musicians.
