You are as old as you feel...right?
Absence makes the heart grow fonder...true.
Hindsight is 20/20...very true.
Live in the now...impossible for me.
Life's a bitch and then you die...according to my mother.
Life's a ___ depending how you dress her...according to Kanye
Drink, eat, and be merry...to a certain degree, but not as a hobby
Ugghhhh, I am really just kind of stuck and static and not feeling "it" these days. Life is so monotonous and dull when things are going well, it's sad isn't it?
Well, to me it is, I wish I could just take off.

Samtastic! Review: Hillary Clinton
I make no claims to really understand what any of the candidates promise. But I have a very strong gut feeling that Hillary is the best choice.
I have read a few articles (mostly biased) about John McCain, and although he is old, he is tough.
I don't think that Obama is reay for this and I feel that he is inexperienced.
Hillary is tougher and probably better suited for the position.
It's all pretty obnoxious, I mean who would want to be the president anyway.
Especially looking at it from a "fame hungry" perspective or even a "do-gooder" one, would you rather be a former president of the United States in the history books, or someone like Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Theresa, Ghandi, etc. etc. etc, someone who really effected people and will be remembered forever, as an icon?
The parade of it all and the false hope of it all are what make people in this country not care. If there really was a difference and our government wasn't constantly moving against itself just to block the other side...would it work better? Would it work at all? Does it work now?
It's so much bigger and so gray that I don't think it can be untangled. And that is just really depressing.

Samtastic! Review: the Afterlife party
Afterlife is a party, on Saturday night, in Atlanta.
I went this past weekend, because I had been meaning to check it out for awhile. This party is thrown by the Decatur Social Club people, but this one is 18 and over, which is an awful idea. I liked the Masquerade when I went there for a show, so i figured it would be pretty cool...and I ended up being disappointed. Basically, this night was a group of younger party kids, which is fine, but their vibe is bad. They are all trying really hard to be their older counterparts, but that's just it, you can't be a hipster, without being hip...and you really only get hip with age.
Plus, the music was just alright, they continuously kept up-charging the drinks throughout the night, the imagery was pretty obnoxious, and the touted DJ of the night, didn't even come on while I was there until 1AM. It's like these people want so badly to be the epitome of cool in a town that has a hard time with this concept...and yet, all it ends up being is over the top, fake as hell crap. The whole trend of the eighties returing should end. It's been going on for years now, and it has gotten to the point where everything from the clothes to the attitude are just tragically ruining pop culture. For example, those hoodies that are covered in design were cool, but now you see packs of kids wearing them...it's scary. Or the whole Cruella DeVille haircut thing, or guys wearing girls jeans, or girls trying to look like Madonna, or Cyndi Lauper, or the whole "I am punk thing" when you know you are not even remotely punk. It's so unoriginal.
Let's get our own decade, let's not be remembered as the decade that had no original ideas, and just tried to sadly re-create the 80's...and failed. Anyway, I just feel like this could have been a cool night out, but it needs some work. I guess I will just take my old (I'm 26, and some 18 year old called me "ma'am") ass somewhere else on Saturday's in Atlanta. There are plenty of other places to go.
