Samtastic! Review: Arrested Development LIVE

A group I am now turned on to, Collective Efforts opened.

Arrested Development headlined, as part of the Georgia Music Concert series. I had been waiting to see this band LIVE for 15 years. I am kind of speechless.

They are utterly amazing, uplifting, bright, happy, and a really really really talented positive hip-hoppers.

PLEASE support this band if you are into them, you will not be disappointed.

Samtastic! Review: Yeasayer

If I had a cult, this is the music they would use in ceremony...that is a weird statement, but it's true. Upon hearing the full album by Yeasayer called All Hour Cymbals, I realized that what i had heard online was only the begining. It's totally chill and arousing at the same time. It's a throwback and a revolution at the same time. The subjects are interesting.

I hate to compare, becuase this is pretty different, but I get tastes of Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles, and some Talking Heads. It's also very different from all of those, and worth checking out if you like any of those bands.

Yeasayer is coming to ATL and many cities near you very soon. I am certainly going, because they are playing at the Earl, which is the best!

Check them out at www.myspace.com/yeasayer or www.yeasayer.net where you can buy their CD from.

So who wants to go to the show w/ me?
